I thought I had read all of her books but apparently not as this one was unfamiliar. I am reading "The Other Queen" which is the story of Mary Stuart while she is being held captive in England. As with all of the other books I am enjoying this one.
One of the things I find fascinating about Philippa Gregory is the way she makes you feel sympathy with the main character and yet in another book you may disdain this character. In "The Other Queen" you certainly tend to side with Mary Stuart in her fight against Queen Elizabeth. And yet, in "The Virgin's Lover" you feel very sympathetic to Elizabeth.
'til next time...
