Reading in November...

I did quite a bit of reading in November, here are the books I read this month...

A Column of Fire
by Ken Follett
The first book will always be my favorite but I did really enjoy this book!  This book is less about Kingsbridge and more about some of the families that are from Kingsbridge, the book is set in many parts of Europe.

The Witches' Tree
by M. C. Beaton
The writing and/or editing continues to get worse with each book. However, if you are an Aggie fan like I am you will probably continue to read this series to the very end.

Last Days of Night
by Graham Moore
This was a fascinating historical fiction about the feud between Edison and Westinghouse.  I really enjoyed it!

The Nine Tailors
by Dorothy L. Sayers
I have been wanting to read more of Lord Peter Wimsey. I would love to read the series chronologically but so far I am just reading a book here and there.  As always, I enjoyed this read!

I Found You
by Lisa Jewell
I enjoyed this book but not my favorite thriller of the year.

My Absolute Darling
by Gabriel Tallent
This book has gotten such great reviews but it didn't work for me.  I don't shy away from reading difficult topics or disturbing material. So while this book is disturbing and difficult to read I don't think that is why I didn't enjoy it.

The Curse of La Fontaine

by M. L. Longworth
I really enjoy this series, looking forward to reading them all!

 The Mitford Snowmen
The Bone Clocks
by David Mitchell
I really wanted to like this book more than I did.  I almost put it down several times but as it had been highly recommended to me I continued reading it.  It definitely got better for me towards the end so I am glad I didn't abandon it.

The Mitford Snowmen
by Jan Karon
This is a tiny, cute book but way too short. I would have really enjoyed it had it been a collection of Christmas/winter stories rather than just one short story.

A Christmas Return
by Anne Perry
I always enjoy these Christmas time reads, this one was enjoyable but you should definitely be familiar with the Thomas and Charlotte series before reading this.

'til next time...
