Reading in September...

I didn't get as much reading done in September.  Getting back into the swing of school has meant my evenings are more likely spent sorting school papers and planning what we need for the next day rather than reading for pleasure.  I did complete a few books though, here are the books I read this month...

Into The Water
by Paula Hawkins
If this book had not been highly recommended to me I would have abandoned it early on. For me, there were too many characters narrating and in the beginning it was really hard to figure out what was happening and who was speaking.  I did stick with the book and was happy with the ending

Never Never
by James Patterson and Candice Fox
This book was only "ok" for me.  Reading James Patterson is purely for entertainment, there will not be anything thought provoking or life changing but this book wasn't as entertaining as others.  I found it predictable and since it is the first in a series leaves a lot of loose ends.

A Gentleman in Moscow
by Amor Towles
This was, by far, my favorite read of the month!  The book is charming and tugs at your heart strings. I have so many quotes from this book written down, I think it is a story that will stick with me for a long time!

'til next time...
