In The Woods

by Meik Wiking
My love of autumn and all things cozy propelled me straight onto the Hygge bandwagon!
Claiming Noah
by Amanda Ortlepp
This is a very suspenseful read, I didn't want to put it down and finished it overnight. The topic of in vitro and embryo donation are thoughtprovoking. As one reader said, at its core, Claiming Noah is an examination of the legal, moral and ethical issues related to embryo donation and adoption.
Different: The Story of an Outside-the-Box Kid and the Mom Who Loved Him
by Sally Clarkson
I loved this book! I think it is a great book for parents to read. If you have an out-of-the-box child you will be encouraged, if you don't have a child that falls in this category you will be more compassionate to those who do. The Scottish Prisoner: A Novel by Diana Gabaldon This is the 3rd book in the Lord John Grey series. I enjoyed this story and as an Outlander fan I am happy to read anything she writes about the characters we love! Simplicity Parenting: Using the Extraordinary Power of Less to Raise Calmer, Happier, and More Secure Kids by Kim John Payne This is one of my favorite parenting books. This was a re-read for me but I find that it is helpful to read again as my children move into difference stages and we encounter different issues. How to Hygge: The Nordic Secrets to a Happy Life This is my favorite Hygge book so far! The images are beautiful and there are some delicious recipes too. 'til next time... |
